Who am I?
Hi, I’m Danny Indio M.B., a Jeet Kune Do instructor, author of Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Techniques and the Master Your Moves (MYM) Method Book, and MYM Toolkit designer. For over 20 years, I trained under many instructors in the arts of Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Savate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, Silat, Western Boxing, and more. In the United States Marine Corps, I became a green belt instructor in MCMAP (the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program). Over the years, I’ve competed in boxing, grappling, and stick-fighting competitions and I credit my success and longevity in martial arts to discipline, science, creativity, and the MYM Method.
What is the MYM Method?
The Master Your Moves (MYM) Method is a natural outgrowth of all my training, efforts, and insights and my main purpose is to help beginners become as great in martial arts as they really want to be.
One of the biggest game-changers for me was when I started using the MYM Shorthand Key, in all of my training from JKD to BJJ. Writing down my techniques using acronyms and shorthands makes note-taking easier and fun. Most importantly, now it only takes me 5 to 10 minutes to write down my class notes when it used to take me at least 30 to 40 minutes. That was tough. But now I can write my notes down while the techniques are fresh in my brain, even if I am physically exhausted.
Here’s what people who have used MYM tools are saying…
A list of acronyms, abbreviations, and shorthand terms that shorten the words you have to write about your techniques and actions in striking, grappling, weapons-based, and traditional arts.
